While tradition has us celebrating Thanksgiving at home with our extended family, the annual holiday is also the perfect time for a getaway. Traveling for the holiday doesn’t mean you have to give up all your Thanksgiving traditions, either. Celebrating at a different locale just gives you the freedom to observe as much or as little of the holiday as you like.
Kelly’s Resort Thanksgiving 2022
Kelly’s Resort has been providing lakeside lodging and more on Lake Chelan for over 70 years but it has been 20 years since we’ve stayed open through Thanksgiving weekend.
Our Lake Chelan resort offers 11 hillside cottages and 4 lakeside condos. The hillside cottages include fully-equipped kitchens, a/c, fireplaces, high speed internet, cable TV, and a private deck with a gas grill. Our cottages are spaced apart for privacy and some are even pet-friendly.
Our lakeside condos also have fully-equipped kitchens, high speed internet, cable TV, a/c, and private decks equipped with gas grills. Two of the condos feature fireplaces and all are located at the water’s edge for stunning lake views.
Those looking for a Thanksgiving dinner out will find a number of local restaurants and wineries offering holiday meals and hosting special events. Kelly’s Resort is located on the lake’s south shore, just 20 minutes from downtown Chelan. On the other hand, you can also use the fully-equipped kitchen in your cottage or condo to make your own Thanksgiving feast.
Thanksgiving weekend also sees the start of downtown Chelan’s Small Town Holidays celebration. This annual event runs Thanksgiving weekend to New Years Eve with a host of shopping, dining, wine tasting, and other fun and festive holiday events.
