Lake Chelan Bach Fest 2025 returns with 8 days of free, world-class music set against the stunning backdrop of the Chelan Valley. This beloved festival blends classical tradition with community spirit, featuring over 100 musicians and 21 events. Genre’s include Baroque masterpieces, contemporary compositions, and even a concert of pop favorites. July 5th-12, 2025 in Chelan, WA.

Imagine enjoying a refreshing glass of wine while soaking up panoramic views of Lake Chelan. That sounds pretty good, doesn’t it. Now add live performances of Bach’s baroque and other classical masterpieces to the mix. If this sounds even better, Lake Chelan Bach Fest is for you.

The festival kicks off its 44th season on Saturday, July 5th, with Gala Concert No. 1. This event features The Profits, a pop group performing hits from the 1960s to the 90s at the Riverwalk Park Pavilion in downtown Chelan.

Gala Concert No. 2 takes place on Sunday, July 6th, at the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce. This concert features the Artists-in-Residence performing a diverse program of pieces. The program includes Bach’s Goldberg Variations, Beethoven’s “Fidelio” arias, and contemporary works by Michiru Oshima and Kenji Bunch. The evening concludes with a concerto by Johann Friedrich Fasch, showcasing the talents of flutist Mary Jensen, oboist Selina Greso, and soprano Noelle Goodenberger.

Attendees can enjoy a variety of performances throughout the week:

  • Winery Concerts: Relax with a glass of wine while listening to performances by artists like The Feiner Musicke Duo and violinist Vanessa Moss at local wineries and vineyards.
  • Courtyard Concerts: Morning performances at St. Andrews Episcopal Church Courtyard feature programs like “A Little Morning Music” with flutist Mary Jensen and oboist Selina Greso.
  • Noon Concert Series: Midday concerts at various locations, including Lake Chelan United Methodist Church, offer a perfect cultural interlude.
  • Interactive Programs for Children: Engaging sessions like “The Story of the Woodwind Family” on July 8th and “Melodies of the Earth” on July 10th at the Chelan Public Library introduce young audiences to the joys of music.

A Celebratory Finale

Bach Fest 2025

The festival culminates on Friday, July 11th, with the Classics Concert at St. Francis Catholic Church. This event features the world premiere of “Immortal Beloved” by Composer-in-Residence Nancy Ives, performed by violinist Denise Dillenbeck. The program also includes Rossini’s “L’Italiana in Algeri” Overtur, Beethoven’s “Egmont” Overture, and the finale from Symphony No. 9, performed by the Festival Orchestra and Chorus under the baton of guest conductor Sarah Ioannides.

All events are free, with donations gratefully accepted. Most festival events occur in downtown Chelan, just a short drive from Kelly’s Resort. Spend the day frolicking on the lake, hiking, fishing, and more at the resort, then drive to town for dinner and a relaxing evening concert of beautiful music – fantastic!
