No matter what it is you’re looking to do during your Lake Chelan getaway, the area undoubtedly has it. Between all the outdoor recreation available on and around the lake, plus Chelan’s shops, dining, and entertainment, there are very few things that you can’t find to do here.
While the lake and all its myriad charms will undoubtedly soak up most of your time and attention, you can also indulge that urge to tee up.
Chelan Golf Courses
You might not guess it but the Chelan area is home to a wide variety of golfing opportunities. Two of the best are quite close to our Lake Chelan resort: the city course and Bear Mountain Ranch. Both are just 20 minutes from the waterfront condos and cottages Kelly’s Resort.
The Lake Chelan Golf Course

The Lake Chelan Municipal Golf Course is popular with golfers of all skill levels. The course setting and views are stunning with walkable greens and clubs and push-carts available for rent. USGA rules govern all play. The course includes a driving range and short game practice area. Tee times can be booked up to one month in advance.
Cj’s On the Course offers casual dining and a full bar, 7am-6pm, 7 days a week.
Bear Mountain Ranch Golf Course

Bear Mountain Ranch has 18-holes of incredible lake and mountain views. Five tee boxes per hole assure a good game for golfers of all experience levels. The course includes a driving range, putting green, full service pro shop, and club rentals. The staff golf professional can help you fine tune your game. Snacks, meals, beer, and even specialty wines are available at the on-site cafe.
Other Area Golf Courses
Other area golf courses include Gamble Sands in Brewster, Highlander Golf Club in East Wenatchee, both just a little over an hour’s drive from our Lake Chelan resort. Gamble Sands, a much lauded and newer golf course, was voted the “No. 1 Course To Play In Washington” by Golfweek in 2019!
Desert Canyon Golf Resort in Orondo, and Alta Lake Golf Resort in Pateros, are closer to our Lake Chelan lodging at just around 45 minutes away.
